Over the coming years, Wiener Lokalbahnen will be focusing on the renewal of its track infrastructure. The aim is to ensure that our passengers can continue to enjoy safe, punctual and reliable travel on the Badner Bahn in the future.

Parts of the railway infrastructure from Vienna’s Schedifkaplatz to Josefsplatz in Baden are several decades old. The strain on the network has increased further in recent years due to service improvements such as more frequent services and the introduction of double-decker trains. The daily strain on the infrastructure is correspondingly high.
